Ulrich H. Rudofsky, Roosevelt University '70, is a retired research scientist who resides in Delmar, NY. He worked in the field of Immunology at the Wadsworth Center for the NYS Health Department after a tenure at the Kidney Disease Institute in Albany, NY. He also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at Albany Medical College. A proud immigrant, he served in the US Army Corps of Engineers during the Cold War overseas before becoming an American citizen and attending Roosevelt, where he earned his B.S. His research work led to extensive publications and invitations to speak at conferences worldwide. Mr. Rudofsky's community involvement, which is extensive, includes promoting swimming and rowing club events as well as fundraising efforts for the local chapter of the Lions Club for over a quarter of a century. For many years, he rowed and sculled competitively in Albany; in Chicago, he sailed competitively. He also enjoyed skiing and mountain climbing in his prime. Ulrich was married to the love of his life, Barbara, for fifty-five years until her passing in June 2020. Together, he and his wife raised two children, Frederick and Christina.
